Parish Life

Chair:

The Parish Life Committee consists of six sub-committees that work to provide service and entertainment  to the households of St. Michael. Our goal is to involve all parish members in some aspect of parish life.

1)  Anniversary DinnersBill & Judy Geier
Anniversary Dinners are another popular tradition at St. Michael. Couples are invited to celebrate their  marriages at a special Liturgy, followed by a dinner.  Dinners are held twice per year in the Griner Center.  Members of the committee plan decorations, set up tables, serve and clean up at the dinners.

2) Donut MinistryJoseph Venezia
Donuts, juice and coffee are served in the McCauley Center following Sunday liturgies to promote fellowship within our parish community. Members of this committee share responsibilities including setting up serving areas, preparing refreshments and cleaning.

3) Men's Fellowship Club:  Robert Bailey
The Men’s Fellowship Club is a casual organization focusing on camaraderie and service within the parish.  Meeting on a monthly basis, the group organizes several annual social fundraising opportunities, such as a Golf Scramble and a Chili Supper.  The group applies their resources, as well as proceeds from fundraising events, toward projects that benefit the parish (recent projects include a new trophy case, new warmers for concessions, and a scholarship in the memory of Molly Johnson).  The key word pertaining to their activity is “fellowship.”  Drop in on a meeting and find out what the Men’s Fellowship Club is all about!

4)  Moms' Club:   Lisa Coleman
Moms and their small children meet the first and third Fridays of each month at 9:45 a.m. Activities and programs of interest to moms and children are presented, and members participate as a group in various stewardship opportunities and fund-raising events. Members also provide food and assistance to new moms in the parish. Moms need only to attend a meeting to begin participating in the Moms’ Club.

5) 3M Club:  Ed York
This club for mature members (usually 50+) enjoys social activities and participates in many stewardshop opportunities.  Members meet the second Sunday of each month after the 10:00 AM Mass for a potluck meal and business meeting.  Club funds are raised at its annual plant sale.  Trips are offered that may be cultural, educational or just plain fun.  The members eat out as a group the first Monday of each month and hold a Christmas Party each year.

6)  Women's Club:    Lorri Tanner

Women’s Club members meet the third Monday of each month. The club provides educational, spiritual and social activities for women of all ages. Members also participate as a group in various stewardship opportunities and fund-raising events. Meeting reminders are in the bulletins, and interested persons need only to attend a meeting to begin participating in the Women’s Club.
